So today I was running some errands and happened to be in the vicinity of a scuba shop that I had been wanting to visit. I had been there before and thought I knew where it was. After driving around trying to find it without any success, I decided to try a new service I had learned about a few weeks ago. Google 411 is a free 411 service now being offered by Google. You just call 1-800-GOOG-411 and follow the voice prompts to find a business. It will even call and connect you to the business for free. They found the dive shop (Castaway Scuba) and connected me, which was nice because I didn't want to have to remember a random phone number and try and dial it while driving. You can also call and ask for categories like "pizza delivery" and it will find pizza places in the location you are looking for. There are advanced features too like sending your phone a text message with the results or even a Google map of the business location, which is handy if you have an iPhone or a similar phone that makes surfing the web easy.
Oh, the reason I couldn't find the scuba shop was because they moved!
