It's been a while since I've posted. I've been busy with school (which is going well) and work.
On July 11th, Apple introduced the 3G IPhone. They also released a software update for owners of the original IPhone such as myself. This update gives most of the capabilities of the 3G IPhone. By far the coolest thing the is the new App Store which allows you to download applicatons to your IPhone. It's about as addicitve as crack. Me and every IPhone user I know can't put our IPhones down. There are a ton of free applications including games, restaurant finders, social networking (Facebook, MySpace) and a virtual light saber (PhoneSaber in case you want to download it).
Shazam will listen to a song for about 15 seconds and tell you the artist, album and song name. How cool is that? Another favorite is UrbanSpoon which looks like a slot machine. It uses the IPhone's location capability to suggest nearby restaurants. Just shake the IPhone and the dials start spinning choosing location (what part of town), type of food, and price range. You can lock any of the dials such as food type to pizza to only find pizzerias. If you don't like the suggestion just shake again. It provides ratings and critic reviews from local newspapers and other information to help make a decision.
